MASK

Founded in January 2023, MASKD is a brand that believes in breaking down barriers between masculine and feminine. MASKD stands for contemporary and cutting-edge but functional style. We are a mode of expression for people often excluded from the fashion binary. Our pieces create an experience that is personal to each individual’s story. This project is a collaboration between 5 designers, Malaika Hamid, Adriana Cadogan, Shan e-Ali, Korina Ntagkinis, and Destiny Lowe.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

As I was responsible for cyanoprinting for my team, I initiated a test phase. This involved perfecting the negatives and refining the cyanoprinting process, which utilizes the sun’s UV rays. Below are some examples of the process.

FLATS

Between the five designers, this three-piece look was entirely designed by me. It includes cotton twill denim cyanoprint pants with Shibari tying, a cotton shirt, and a modular, reversible knit top that can also function as a bag

PROJECT: ‘BOLD MODESTY’

FALL/WINTER 24

MODEST WOMENS WEAR WITH A TWIST

I developed a women's wear collection using CLO 3D, overseeing every aspect from pattern drafting to color and textile selection, art direction, and set design. I've included my ideation process, including my final renderings of the collection, which showcases the journey from initial illustrations to finished avatars.

ALTERNATIVE CONTEMPORARY UNISEX JACKET

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

This design draws inspiration from Pakistani truck art motifs and caters to a unisex audience that appreciates a bold aesthetic. It features detachable sleeves and cones, as well as hidden welt pockets, offering my imaginative take on contemporary menswear. The wool is custom-dyed neon by me.
